The badges

Fragrance communities consistently name the match. We read that discussion and record the sources.

The maker says publicly that it is inspired by the original. We link their claim — we do not treat it as proof.

Matched on the published notes and accords. No community confirmation yet.
- Similar profile
Worked out live from how the notes and accords overlap. Nobody has checked it, and it is always labeled.
Community verified means fragrance communities consistently name the match, we reviewed that discussion, and the sources are recorded and shown to you. Tap any evidence badge to read them.
Maker declared means the company making the dupe says publicly that it is inspired by the original. We record and link their claim, but we do not treat it as independent proof.
Similar-profile matches are worked out live from how closely the notes and accords overlap, weighted toward base notes. Nobody has checked them, they are always labeled, and they never carry the verified badge.
The ring
Every match carries an editor's note saying how it differs from the original, including how long it lasts, because that is the most common complaint about dupes.
You can vote on any verified match and flag one that looks wrong. Votes from people who own both are weighted and shown separately.
What a match score means
Match scores and "verified" labels reflect community consensus and our own review, not laboratory analysis. Fragrance is subjective and formulations change. Treat every match as an informed opinion, not a guarantee.
